It just means they are waiting until after you’ve already made an account (the point of no return). Notion’s two second sign up does not mean that they are passing up an opportunity to get information about their users. Once the page scrolls below a certain point, they also tweak their header navigation bar to include the sign up, meaning at any moment you’re only an email and 1 click away from creating an account. On their Evernote comparison page they slip their sign up box in a remarklable 5 times! You can drop it on any section, on any page and it blends in nicely.Īnd Notion certainly doesn't miss an opportunity. Whilst that’s true, it overlooks the main advantage of Notion’s sign up: It’s small size and manoeuvrability. Now, you could argue that both Spotify and Dropbox do have Google and Facebook O Auth respectively, so you don’t have to go through all the steps. It doesn’t take a genius to work out which one converts better. Bear in mind, the end goal is exactly the same: to convert users to the free plan. From there you’re in!Ĭompare Notion’s sign up to Spotify and Dropbox. If it’s a Gmail account you’re transferred straight to Google O Auth. The only thing required to make an account is an email address. It doesn’t ask for your first name, last name and favourite color. If you have connected multiple workspaces to Notion, you can remove access to them individually here.In three years looking at landing pages, I’ve never come across a sign-up field better at converting than Notions. Then, scroll down to “Your Integrations”, hover over the three dots icon next to your workspace, and click “Uninstall Integration”: Note: Go to "Account Settings", which you'll find under your avatar in the top right: If you have connected multiple Whimsical workspaces with Notion, this method will disconnect all of them. Go to “Settings & members” in the left hand menu. Under “My connections”, hover over the Whimsical connection and click “Disconnect account”: Note: There are two ways to remove the connection between Notion and Whimsical. Only editors or admins can authorize Notion to access files in your Whimsical workspace.Embedding Whimsical docs isn’t currently supported, only boards, wireframes, and projects may be embedded.Embeds can also be viewed in the Notion desktop and mobile apps. All Whimsical embeds are view-only, to edit the file you'll need to open it in Whimsical. You don't need to paste an embed link, just a regular link to the file will work fine.To remove a Whimsical preview from Notion, click the “handle” (six dots) on the top left, and select “Delete” from the menu, or press the delete key on your keyboard: Note: This includes people who aren’t a member of your Whimsical workspace or do not have permission to view the file in Whimsical. □ Important:Īny board you embed this way can be viewed by anyone with access to that page in Notion. Once you’ve allowed Notion to access your Whimsical workspace, any board link you paste in the future can be displayed in this way. You’ll see the board embedded as a preview, and you can expand it to full screen with the “Expand” button in the top right corner. If you need to give Notion access to a different workspace, you can select it from the dropdown here: In the new window that opens, click “Allow”: Note: □Ĭlick “Connect to Whimsical to update” on the right. If you haven’t used it yet, you’ll just need to allow Notion to access your Whimsical files first. If you’ve already used the Whimsical connection, that’s it! Your file will be embedded automatically. Then paste it into a Notion page and choose if you’d like to display the file, as a preview or a mention: Embedding files in Notionįirst, copy the URL of your whimsical file from the address bar: With our Notion connection (integration) just paste a link to any board, authorize Notion to access your workspace, and it can be automatically displayed as a preview or mention. ![]()
